We are a business primarily catering to the book lovers of Australia, creating experiences for people to step outside of their every day, and get lost in literary worlds through the bespoke art of reading retreats. We—Xara, Rilee and Q— are the founders of Wyrd Retreats! We each have our own story behind creating WR together, but the biggest, if not essential, connector was how deeply we indulge in our books. Our journey as business partners started off on the couch of Rilee's home in the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, bundled up with books, delicious food and the occasional cheeky cocktail. The atmosphere, connection and closeness we found in those moments are the real inspiration behind Wyrd Retreats. The name 'Wyrd' pays homage to the fantasy genre of our hearts, specifically the world jumping universe of Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas. You can read more about us here!
